Gajen graduated from King’s College, London with Distinction in 2002. After graduating, he worked as an Associate Dentist in a variety of practices, gaining a vast amount of knowledge and experience. Gajen has been the Principal Dentist since 2015.
Gajen’s main areas of interest are dental implants, restorative and cosmetic dentistry. He has completed many post-graduate training courses to further his skills and knowledge in these fields, including (to name a few):
Gajen enjoys helping his patients to achieve their goals and is rewarded when his patients are able to function and smile again with confidence.
Outside of work, Gajen has a passion for football and golf, playing both regularly to keep active. He also enjoys skiing and travelling.
Lee graduated from the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1986. He practiced general dentistry in South Africa alongside studies for a law degree until 1992, when he moved to London.
Now the senior associate at Chiswick Dental, Lee first joined the practice as an Associate, holding this role from 1992 until 1996. From 1997-2000, he became a partner at a small dental practice in Putney, before returning to Chiswick Dental as a partner in 2001.
Lee has a special interest in Orthodontics for both adults and children. He is a certified Invisalign doctor and fast brace doctor, and a practitioner in Aesthetic Dentistry. Lee carries out NHS orthodontic treatments for qualifying patients.
Outside of dentistry, Lee enjoys sailing, hockey and golf. He has previously done volunteer work in Morocco and Burma and is involved in the Local Dental Committee (LBC).
Sean graduated from the University of Wiwatersrand in 1990. He has a wide and varied experience in all aspects of general practice, and has a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry. Whilst spending time in Australia, Sean completed the Australian dental board exams before returning to practice in London.
Over the years, Sean has attended many postgraduate courses to keep abreast of the latest developments in dentistry and provide treatment supported by the latest clinical evidence.
Sean passionately believes in a pain-free and gentle approach to dentistry, with emphasis on oral health promotion and preventative dentistry. He believes in empowering his patients, and getting them fully involved with realistic and achievable treatment plans. He says the best part of his job is being able to give his patients the confidence to enjoy their smiles, and takes pride in providing top quality dental care for every patient.
Sean is married with two children. Away from work, he enjoys travelling, music and socialising with friends and family. As a keen tennis player and golfer, he loves sport - both partaking and spectating - and enjoys spending time in the countryside.
Christos completed his degree in dentistry in 2003, receiving his title ‘Dr.Med.Dent’. Since then, he has been living and working in both Greece and the UK.
He also successfully completed a Masters degree in Prosthetic Dentistry at Bristol Dental School in 2007, and a Masters degree in Implant Dentistry at the renowned Warwick Medical School in 2011.
Christos has over 13 years experience in surgical and dental implant procedures and has successfully placed hundreds of implants yearly during that time.
His main areas of interest include Implant Dentistry, Aesthetic Dentistry, Smile Design and the management of complex and demanding cases from both aesthetic and functional aspects. Christos gained experience in ‘All-on-4’ and ‘Teeth in a day’ implant solutions through his training at the renowned Malo Clinic in Lisbon with the world-famous implantologist Paula Malo.
In his spare time, Christos enjoys rock climbing and sailing.
Christos is currently accepting referrals for any type of implant and prosthetic rehabilitation and performing complex procedures for patients at Chiswick Dental.
Laura graduated from the University of Bristol with honours in 2008 before completing a MJDF at the Royal College of Surgeons England in 2013. She has been at Chiswick Dental since 2009.
Laura has a key interest in minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry and continually pushes herself to improve her skills and knowledge. She completed her Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman (UCL) in 2016, with courses including composite fillings, ceramic restorations, onlays, crowns, veneers and periodontology. In 2018, building on her interest in minimally invasive dentistry, Laura attended a smile makeover course, focusing on composite bonding and whitening.
Laura’s caring manner ensures she is able to create a calm atmosphere in her surgery, listening to her patients’ needs and concerns. She believes the best part of her job is enabling her patients to smile again with confidence and giving the assurance of lasting dental health.
Outside of dentistry, Laura enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors and has an interest in staying fit and healthy. She particularly loves sailing, skiing, walking, hiking and Pilates.
Mona graduated from the University of Manchester in 2003 and moved to London, where she has been working in general practice delivering both NHS and private treatment. She has been at Chiswick Dental for six years.
In 2008, she completed a three-year diploma and was awarded a DPDS from the University of Bristol. Her course included year-long special study modules in restorative dentistry (fillings and crowns), periodontology (gum disease) and oral surgery.
In 2011, Mona completed a one year course in aesthetic dentistry with top cosmetic dentist Chris Orr, who taught her the latest concepts to enhance a patient’s smile, including smile design, whitening, and minimally invasive bonding techniques.
Mona is committed to constantly updating her skills and recently attended a smile makeover course. She is a certified Invisalign provider and enjoys helping patients achieve their dream smiles.
Mona enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, particularly treating children. She believes the best part of her job is knowing she has helped patients in her care achieve a healthy mouth and that her work is both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
Outside of work, Mona is kept busy by her three children, and loves watching them grow and thrive. She is a keen cook and enjoys entertaining, allowing her to show off her culinary skills! Mona likes to stay active, enjoying running and walking in her spare time.
Pooja qualified from Barts and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry, where she won multiple prizes during her studies, including one for ‘Outstanding Academic Achievement’.
Pooja is dedicated to furthering her clinical skills through advanced training. She is currently completing a postgraduate diploma in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry, mastering the techniques of composite bonding, veneers and smile makeovers. She is also doing a Masters in Aesthetic Medicine, which is focused on facial aesthetics and skin treatments.
Pooja enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics. She is a qualified Invisalign provider and certified by a prestigious Harley Street training academy in the provision of Botulinum Toxin and dermal fillers. She routinely performs anti-wrinkle treatments, cheek fillers and lip augmentation. Additionally, Pooja is trained in the provision of medical-grade skin care products, including the ZO Skin Health range.
With her gentle and caring manner, Pooja enjoys treating anxious patients and helping them feel at ease. She also relishes helping her patients achieve the results they have envisioned. Outside of work, Pooja enjoys travelling, visiting the theatre and spending time with her family and friends.
Having graduated in 2014 and taken an Oral and Maxillofacial surgery post in 2016, Atrina achieved a Masters in Endodontics from the UCL Eastman Dental hospital in 2018.
Atrina is passionate about saving her patients’ natural teeth and helping to stop their pain. She says one of the best parts about her job is being able to relieve the anxiety that many patients have regarding root canal treatment and ensuring they feel at ease in her care.
Atrina has been at Chiswick Dental since 2018. Alongside her role at the practice, she also holds a part-time position as a Clinical Teacher and Honorary Lecture at the UCL Eastman Dental hospital.
In her spare time, Atrina enjoys travelling and baking. She also loves to keep fit with yoga and climbing.
After graduating with a BSc in Psychology from University College London in 2010, Deepa qualified with a MBBS at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012.
Deepa is currently undergoing a MSc in Aesthetic Medicine at Barts and The London, on track for completion in 2022. She joined the team at Chiswick Dental in April 2021
Deepa enjoys all aspects of her job, particularly the practical side and being able to use her excellent surgical skills to help boost her patients’ confidence and self-esteem. She relishes the creativity she gains from her role.
With her attentive and thoughtful approach, Deepa loves being able to form long-term relationships with her patients.
In her spare time, Deepa enjoys being outdoors, hiking and mountains. She also dabbles in landscape photography and loves to read. Alongside her training and work, Deepa even studied for a wine qualification in 2020 - something she notes as a highlight of the lockdown!
Mari achieved her Dental Hygiene qualification in Spain in 2005. She joined the team at Chiswick Dental in 2006 and has worked in both NHS and private practices across London.
Mari loves helping her patients achieve good oral health and particularly focuses on preventing future problems. Her top quality service means she has a long loyal list of patients who have been maintaining their oral health with her for many years.
Due to the high demand for her services, Mari has opened up more available days at Chiswick Dental.
Outside of work, Mari enjoys reading, swimming, walking and spending time with her daughter.
Abinash graduated with a BDS in India in 2018 and is currently preparing for exams to register as a dentist in the UK.
Dedicated to furthering her skills, Abinash is also working towards a Masters in Facial Aesthetics with Ulster University.
Abinash joined the team at Chiswick Dental in October 2019 as a dental hygienist, enabling her to maintain her essential dental skills and continue working in the environment and field she loves.
Abinash particularly enjoys getting to know her patients well and making sure they feel relaxed and comfortable in her care. She loves seeing a significant improvement in her patients’ oral hygiene on their return visits, and relishes being able to help boost their confidence.
Outside of dentistry, Abinash enjoys swimming and taking her dog for long walks. She loves being adventurous with new foods while dining at different restaurants and particularly enjoys travelling to different destinations for holidays!
Maria has been at Chiswick Dental since 1989, witnessing the evolution of the practice and working her way up to the role of Practice Manager.
With her kind, helpful nature, Maria is always on hand to help with any problems or concerns you may have, able to find efficient solutions to benefit all. Meticulously organised, she is essential in ensuring the team maintain the high standards our patients love and deserve, and keeps the practice running smoothly.
Away from Chiswick Dental, Maria likes to spend time with her family and enjoys relaxing on a beach with a book and walking in the countryside.
Bita has 12 years experience in customer service, and has been caring for patients at Chiswick Dental for many years as head receptionist. Her role focuses on providing the first point of contact with patients and understanding their needs with relaxed, non-clinical treatment consultations. Bita also assists the dentists with treatment planning.
Very approachable and friendly, Bita enjoys meeting new people and prides herself on creating excellent patient experiences, from the first time they step into the practice until the end of their treatment. She is the ideal person to be on hand to help and guide patients through their treatments and procedures.
Outside of work, Bita enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her friends and family. She also has a passion for making dresses, designing new outfits and learning new skills.
Kripa achieved her NEBDN Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2017, and joined the team at Chiswick Dental in the same year.
Kripa is passionate about providing excellent care and support to all her patients, helping them to feel at ease in the practice. She also loves working with such a fantastic, friendly and dedicated team.
Outside of work, Kripa loves spending time with her family. She also has a great interest in reading and can often be found with her nose in a book!
Sabel holds an NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration and a BTEC Level 2 in IT. She has been a friendly face warmly welcoming patients to Chiswick Dental since 2018.
Sabel loves being able to help both new and existing patients, answering any questions they may have and listening to their concerns. With her calm and caring manner, she is able to reassure new or nervous patients as they enter the practice and help them to feel at ease. She also really enjoys working in such a supportive team.
Outside of work, Sabel enjoys salsa dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She also loves travelling and taking in the new experiences that this brings.
Shreeya qualified with a BDS from GKT School of Medical Education in 2008. She joined our practice team in October 2021.
Shreeya enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, in particular Invisalign and composite bonding.
She also enjoys performing root canal treatments to relieve her patients’ pain and save their natural teeth.
Shreeya’s kind and caring nature means she works well with nervous patients, creating a calm and relaxed atmosphere to help them remain at ease.
Outside of work, Shreeya enjoys hot yoga and keeping fit. She also loves spending quality time with her family and friends.
Iryna studied and graduated in Biomedical Sciences at Queen Mary, University of London, in 2017. She then went on to qualify as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist from King’s College, London in 2021.
Iryna has been part of our practice team since December 2021.
Iryna has a caring nature, and focuses on giving tailored oral hygiene advice to suit every patient’s individual needs. She enjoys treating both adults and children, and particularly giving children the skills and knowledge to maintain healthy teeth and gums for life. Iryna is dedicated to continuing her professional development and regularly attends dental courses to expand her knowledge.
Away from dentistry, Iryna enjoys reading, cooking, keeping fit and spending time in nature.
Manila gained her BDS qualification in India and is a GDC registered hygienist and therapist. She has been with the practice since May 2021.
Manila enjoys helping her patients to protect their oral hygiene, and giving her patients advice and tips to follow at home. She believes the most satisfying part of her job is when patients come back for follow-up appointments and she can see a significant improvement in their teeth and gums.
Outside of work, Manila has a particular interest in painting.
Dr Gerard Balague graduated as a dentist from the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Spain) in 2005. In 2007 Gerard obtained a post-graduate certificate in Implantology from Warwick University. After obtaining his certificate Gerard worked in London, in general dental practice, concentrating on Periodontics and Implantology. Gerard then moved back to Spain to start a full time 3 year Masters (MSc) in Implantology: Oral Surgery, Prosthetics and Periodontics. During this time Gerard also completed a post-graduate certificate in forensic dentistry and a Master’s (MSc) degree of basic research in Dentistry and Biomedicine.
Gerard is also currently working as a Clinical Teacher, teaching undergraduates in The Department of Periodontology, at King’s College Hospital, where he finalised a Master of Arts (MA) in Clinical Education in 2017 at the same institution. Since then, Gerard has become very passionate about teaching and has started a PhD in Health Education. In addition he is a clinical advisor for the General Dental Council.
Gerard’s main interest in dentistry is the treatment of gum disease (periodontology).
Outside of dentistry, Gerrard enjoys spending time with his family, music and travelling
Chirag qualified with a BDS from Newcastle University in 2014 and initially lived and worked in Lancashire before moving to London. He has been part of the Chiswick Dental team since November 2022.
Chirag has a particular interest in root canal treatment and ceramic crown work. He is dedicated to furthering his training and skills and has completed a number of postgraduate courses. These include Hands on Oral Surgery (April 2020), Practical Implantology (2021), Bone Manipulation in Oral Implantology (Nov 2021) and a Posterior Crown Preparation Masterclass (Nov 2022).
As well as root canal and crown treatment, Chirag enjoys placing dental implants and managing challenging extractions. He has a friendly and gentle approach, making sure he listens to his patients’ wishes and including them in treatment planning to achieve an incredible outcome. Chirag also enjoys working with anxious patients, helping them to feel calm, confident and more able to have dental treatment.
In his spare time, Chirag enjoys cycling, travelling, spending time with his young son and socialising with friends and family. A big sports fan, he loves watching football and cricket, and both watching and playing snooker. He even reached the semi-finals of the Fylde Coast Snooker League!
Rhianna graduated with a BDS from the University of Bristol Dental school in 2018.
She has since undertaken multiple courses focusing on the importance of minimally invasive dentistry, including a year long course in aesthetic dentistry with renowned cosmetic dentist, Dr Chris Orr.
Rhianna enjoys all aspects of dentistry, she is especially good with anxious patients and enjoys seeing them gain confidence with each visit. She has a calm approach and aims to deliver a stress free and comfortable experience for her patients.
Outside of work, Rhianna loves to travel. She enjoys experiencing new cultures and meeting new people. Rhianna spends her weekends exploring with her miniature goldendoodle, Woody.
